QiGong for Winter

Monday, December 7 – Friday, December 11, with Paola di Paolo, 8:00am-9:15am ET, $100/week, $25/class
on Zoom

Traditionally in Qi Gong, winter is the time of supporting the kidneys, which govern bone health, and our immune system, and are essential for our vital energy particularly as the days grow shorter and colder. Winter is also associated with the element of water. Water takes many forms: the stillness of a pond, the flowing of a river, the powerful waves of an ocean. Water changes from its fluid state on Earth, becomes vapor, forms clouds, and then returns to the Earth as rain, snow, and the solidity of ice. The element of water transforms fear and anxiety into peace and tranquility. Like Qi and like ourselves, water is transformative. In this series, we will explore the Qigong element of water as it relates to our kidneys, our vital energy, and our own potential transmutations.
