on Zoom
A monk asked Joshu, ‘How do I get to the summit of the Mystic Peak?’
Joshu responded, ‘I won’t say.’
The monk questioned him, ‘Why won’t you say?’
‘If I answered, you would still think that you were on level ground.’
A whispered teaching in Tibetan Buddhism is, ‘You are here.’ (And before you try to get
somewhere else, you should know where you are starting from.)
Is this a dog-eat-dog world? Are we either Vikings or Victims? A perpetrator, or a Saviour? Is there room to move around? Any safe place to position yourself to not be attacked, judged, blamed, or shamed? Have you done enough ‘virtue-signaling?’ Or are you in the predicament of, ‘Life is impossible!’
With sitting meditation, chi gong, talk, poems, and stories, let’s spend time together in Sacred Space, where you stand your ground and speak your truth, no longer trying to control the reactions and responses of all the others.
