Having completed the EMYS teaching programme a number of years ago under the steady guidance of Tama Soble and Monica Voss, it wasn’t until much later on that I could apply my practice to the art of teaching.
Hatha yoga allowed me to weave an athletic background, whether on land or in water to my everyday movements. Learning to find balance and ease, whether relatively still or moving more actively is a constant source of study and inspiration. Teaching in many different communities – The Afghan Women’s Organization, Central Neighbourhood House and CNIB – allowed me to change how I thought about movement and yoga, and has led me into new and exciting self discovery which I am looking forward to sharing.
I am drawn to the work of Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen and also Donna Farhi and continue to take courses with both to enhance and deepen my experience.
