Yoga in Tobago…our 18th year!

with Monica Voss
March 2 – 10, 2024

COME TO YOUR SENSES
In the warm and fragrant environment of a tropical retreat, you will discover a yoga practice clearly supported by the energy of the earth and the wave-like rhythm of the breath. Awaken to a world that loosens body and mind and brings you fully to your senses.

The atmosphere in Tobago is relaxed and welcoming and the activities varied. Everything from swimming and snorkelling at isolated white sand beaches to hiking and bird-watching in an untouched rainforest reserve is on offer. The weather is usually sunny and pleasantly hot with the occasional refreshing tropical shower punctuating the day or evening.

* The retreat begins on March 2 at 5:00pm

KARIWAK VILLAGE HOTEL
Your stay will be truly memorable for its unique setting, a renowned tropical garden filled with exotic birds, rare butterflies and botanical marvels, all a five-minute walk to a lively local beach. The rooms are in comfortable cabins set within the gardens. Kariwak Village has a lovely pool and outdoor whirlpool bath and offers massage and other therapeutic treatments to enhance your health and holiday. You will find the staff warm, gracious and attentive. Most of our meals will be provided by Kariwak’s superb kitchen. Here freshness and creativity are paramount with island specialties featuring locally grown produce and daily ocean catch offered at every sitting.

“The best food I’ve ever had away from home… and served by the most delightful and friendly staff”.

YOGA AT KARIWAK
Our practice venue is a large ajoupa, a marvellous open-air structure with a towering thatched roof and beautiful hardwood floor. Each day will include an early morning and a late afternoon session of relaxation, breathing practice, yoga poses and meditation. All levels of yoga experience are welcome.

“The time spent in the ajoupa was divine… the most marvellous part… the focus, centre and heart of the week”.
