January 9 – 16, 2021, with Tama Soble
in association with Merit Travel
Our destination in Costa Rica is the Osa Peninsula at the southern tip of the country. National Geographic has deemed the Osa “the most biologically intense place on earth”!
Iguana Lodge is on a six mile long stretch of beach on Golfo Dulce at the edge of the jungle. The animal life is vibrant and the ocean affords opportunities for dolphin and whale spotting. The beach is sandy and swimmable. Sway in a hammock, enjoy the ocean breeze and absorb the wild beauty. Nowhere else in the world is the environment so untouched. One feels as though it is the beginning of all existence.
Please visit (https://iguanalodge.com) for information and photos of this remote and beautiful retreat centre.
Our practice space is a gorgeous open air deck. The peace and serene majesty of this place enhance the union of body, mind, breath, spirit and nature. We’ll practise yoga and meditation twice daily to the accompaniment of howler monkeys and scarlet macaws.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff are available for activities such as rain forest hikes, bird watching and animal viewing, snorkelling, horseback riding and combing the Pacific beach is awesome and invigorating. Take a night hike and view the Milky Way and beach bioluminescence. Massage is readily available and a 55 foot chemical free swimming pool is a glorious addition.
Tama Soble has been studying, practising and teaching yoga for over 35 years. She co-owns and co-directs Esther Myers Yoga Studio and conducts classes, workshops, Teacher Training, and retreats at her home studio in Toronto, Canada, and internationally.
“Tama, I wanted to write to thank you SO very much for such a great week (in Italy). Your (course) surpassed all my expectations and I thought it was simply fantastic – encouraging and inspiring. I have done yoga for so long but never before have I been quite so impressed by the teaching skill. Thank you for your wonderful support, patience and guidance. I feel so much stronger in every way and a lot of this is thanks to you.”Barbara Watt
