Walking, standing, sitting still

Walking women by Michael Snow

Friday, July 21, with Monica Voss, 1:00pm-3:00pm, $40
at the Studio

Join this workshop and learn about the biomechanics of standing and walking – as humans, our most basic locomotive position and movement. Then, we’ll practise Vanda Scaravelli’s innovative standing poses and discover how repeatedly rolling the complete foot into the ground sensitizes awareness, stimulates elongation of the spine and consequently, we experience more vertical, uplifted, springlike energy. Sitting still, breathing and meditation practice feel gloriously easy as a result. All welcome.
