Empowering the Aging Body

Empowering the Aging BodySaturday, October 28 – Sunday, October 29
with Monica Voss, Tama Soble and Valeria Blumenkranz

Saturday, 12:00pm-6:30pm,
Sunday, 10:30am-5:00pm, $325

As the population ages, teachers must inform themselves about natural changes in the body as well as common conditions such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and lower back pain. Changes in outlook also occur in older students as they contemplate their lives and goals. Through practice, discussion and analysis, we will explore these and other issues of aging and create intelligent and supportive options in order to instruct older students holistically with energy, knowledge and empathy.

Empowering the Aging Body is intended for certified and non-certified yoga and meditation teachers, teachers-in-training, health professionals, therapists, social workers and interested students of yoga. CEU’s awarded through Yoga Alliance.

“For those who have done yoga for 30, 40 years but are aging and for those who start in their 60’s, the approach at Esther Myers Yoga Studio is accessible and enjoyable. read more from our students and teachers.
